Tristan

“Well, you’re my princess too, ain’t ya?” Sure, Tristan didn’t know everything about Lucy’s father, but he knew that the man would do anything to protect her, and he also knew he’d do exactly the same. He didn’t have to meet him to know he well and truly respected him.

Tristan shrugged, placing his now-empty coffee cup on the table as he turned his attention to the notebook. His fingers traced over the words as he read them. “Hm. I like it. Let’s do it.”

Graffiti had always been one of Tristan’s preferred things to do, combining his two favourite hobbies of fine art and being-a-complete-little-shit. And the campus had always been so dulllooking, a little extra colour here and there would do wonders for making it more exciting. The danger of getting caught always excited him, but sometimes it was even more fun when he knew they wouldn’t get caught. The staff would always know it was them, but with no evidence and no witnesses? There was nothing they could do about it.

“You know, speakin’ of your dorm room, we need to go shoppin’ soon. It’s super borin’ in there still.” Of course, any dorm room was boring. But Tristan would use any excuse to go shopping for expensive furniture, and it gave them more time together off-campus to make plans without anyone overhearing.

Lucy couldn’t help but grin, nodding. “Course I am, Tris. Why else would I have a big brother like you?” she teased, nudging him playfully. “Dad would totally adopt you just for always taking care of me.” Or at the very least let Tristan into the gang with ease. She tapped her pen on the empty cup as she let him look it over, grinning. “You didn’t bring me any coffee? I should cry.” she said with a laugh. Her eyes lit up as he agreed to it, smirking. “Perfect. I thought you’d like a new art project.”

She was reaching to close her notebook and put it in her bag when he spoke up about her dorm room, and she grinned even wider, knowing there were two reasons for it. “Yeah, I haven’t felt the need to spruce it up, yet. Maybe we can find something this time.” she offered. “I mean, I have one of the best people to help pick stuff out, so why waste the opportunity?” A shrug moved her shoulders and she moved to stand up. “Shall we head out? We may take a while on this shopping trip.”
