So the whole scene from the new chapter of SAS where Tony is like “don’t look at me like I’m ugly” hit me like a sack of bricks. But I was like……wait I remember something similar to that with Steve and Tony. It’s one of my favorite angst tropes that you introduced me to because damn I’m just a masochist aren’t I? The whole “don’t look at me like that” trope is just heartbreaking in the right way (wow that sounds weird) so I went snooping (instead of doing class work, oh well) and I re read one of the first fics that I came across when I found your account. And I was like THERES THAT TROPE I KNEW I RECOGNIZED IT. So yeah. Hope you’re having a good weekend!

Pretty sure Howard spent a lot of time looking at Tony like “ugh you disappointment me” “ugh I wish you weren’t standing here” and my version of Tony absolutely cannot handle it.
Good trope catch! I use a lot of similarities in my characterizations and I am shameless about it lol who needs to be original when I can just recycle angsty character tropes!
