Chris turning red and thinking bad thoughts, lol. Me, too, buddy.
Well that’s one hell of a face journey
My fav part is that you’ve got Evans going on this face journey of delighted gutter thoughts, and then there’s Hemsworth, just nomming away nonchalantly like he hasn’t just made his buddy plunge suddenly and unexpectedly into nsfw mental image land
These dudes are fucking legit. They don’t just show up one day in court, either, they actually make friends with the kids and let them know they have a support system and that there are people in the world who care about them and will always have their back. And less important, but also cool, is that the few times a couple of them have come into my cafe, they’ve been super friendly and polite and when I told one of the guys that I noticed his Bikers Against Child Abuse patch and wanted him to know how awesome I thought he was because of it, he got kind of shy and blushed and said, “The kids are the awesome ones, we just let them know they’re allowed to be brave.”
The source is long, but so, so good. These men and women are available in 36 states, 24 hours a day to stand guard at home, in court, at school, even if the child has a nightmare. Many of them are survivors of childhood abuse as well, and know what it’s like to feel scared and alone.
In court that day, the judge asked the boy, “Are you afraid?” No, the boy said.
Pipes says the judge seemed surprised, and asked, “Why not?”
The boy glanced at Pipes and the other bikers sitting in the front row, two more standing on each side of the courtroom door, and told the judge, “Because my friends are scarier than he is.”
Actual tears.. hnngh
Show me more of people like this, world. I give up on humans too easily.
where do i sign up for this,i want to be in this gang
This is fucking amazing. It may be out of character for me to say this but rock on
Bikers Against Child Abuse was founded in 1995 by a Native American child psychologist whose ride name is Chief, when he came across a young boy who had been subjected to extreme abuse and was too afraid to leave his house. He called the boy to reach out to him, but the only thing that seemed to interest the child was Chief’s bike. Soon, some 20 bikers went to the boy’s neighborhood and were able to draw him out of his house for the first time in weeks.
Chief’s thesis was that a child who has been abused by an adult can benefit psychologically from the presence of even more intimidating adults that they know are on their side. “When we tell a child they don’t have to be afraid, they believe us,” Arizona biker Pipes told azcentral.com. “When we tell them we will be there for them, they believe us.” ( Article)
My parents are a part of this organization and they are metal af
They go on runs to protect the child if they feel even the slightest threatened no matter where. If the child needs them to go on vacation with them, they do. Bikers come from across the nation to watch over and take shifts for these kids. And the best part is once you’re adopted into this family as a BACA kid, you’re always one. Even when you’re 40 and the perp gets released from jail, they’ll come meet with you and find your best options for avoiding the person and maintaining the life you’ve built for yourself. Once a BACA child, always a BACA child. In Florida, there’s 100% rate for identifying the perp based on the child’s testimony. Why? Because BACA stands with the child and supports the child so they feel comfortable enough to point out their attacker.
What’s better than a badass biker gang being on your side???
NATIVE AMERICAN CHILD PSYCHOLOGIST WHO IS A BIKER AND NAMED HIMSELF CHIEF HELL YES I’M HERE FOR THAT AND BIKERS BEING BAD ASS TO PROTECT KIDS. HELL YEAH.
it’s back! I will always reblog BACA
Damn good people.
I know they wouldn’t consider themselves such, but these people are freaking heroes and the world is a better place because of them.
@copperbadge You like posting about heroes, Sam. Seems like this would be up your alley.
I love these folks! I’ve reblogged them before but it’s wonderful to see the donation information has been added.
Always reblog. Keep doing what you’re doing y’all.
Guys? This post changed my life. I saw this post. Forever ago. And thought it was only in america… and wished desperately that they could help me. But then I saw it again, during a bad episode, and checked their site. They aren’t just in the USA
They’re in Canada as well and probably other countries. I met and talked with a native guy who runs the place near me. His name is Shaman. I got in, and I’m considered a BACA child now. Despite being 17, turning 18 when I talked to them. They spent time with me when my abuser was over, they gave me therapy resources. They give you something called a ‘level 1′ where they go to your house with as many bikers as they can, i shit you not a solid 20-40 bikers came from even out of province, and met me. I got to choose my biker name and I got a vest with patches on it and my name on it. They all hugged a Teddybear before giving it to me, and told me if I ever felt the BACA bear was running out of love, to give them a call and they’d refill it for me, and then I got a ride on one of their bikes. Just a day or so ago I went to an annual party with them and they we ate food one of them cooked and had a lot of laughs.
I’ve never felt as loved as I did being a part of the BACA family. They also gave me dog tags with the names, and phone numbers of my 2 workers. So I can call them whenever I feel scared.
BACA is an absolutely wonderful group that will do everything in it’s power to help any child whos been abused.
And it doesn’t end when you’re 18 either. As long as you get in contact/get your level 1 before you’re 18? you’re ALWAYS a BACA kid. I’m 18 now and they still invite me to parties, ask me if I’m okay, and are there for me. They’re still trying to find me resources for therapy.
BACA has changed my fucking life.
I hope you all can read this, and reblog it knowing from someone who fucking been with them, that they are absolutely amazing.
This is truly amazing, I’m so glad people like this exist
This needs to be reblogged. Because.
Always reblog BACA.
Guys, I have met these guys. There’s a chapter in Texas that was around when I had jury duty and we talked and I opened up about my own history and they all hugged me, apologized for not being there, and told me they were proud of the woman I had become, because sometimes surviving ends badly. One of the men even said they had attended a couple of funerals after the kids they’d protected couldn’t get out of a dark place. They were kind to me, as a survivor who never really had a support net, and I cried because they were sorry they hadn’t been there for me. This group is legit, and powerful and they are a million percent worth any donation you send.
Main [ nothing a shadowhunter can’t do in heels;; main Izzy ]
Isabelle is amazing at her job. Weapons master, enough forensic smarts to make any man look dumb, and the ability to make use of her beauty in a dangerous way. She may the the only Lightwood daughter, but her grace and loyalty to her siblings is second to no other.
Dancer [ dancing queen;; dancer Izzy ]
Izzy is a great dancer, giving lessons as well as posting videos. She loves the club scene because she can blend in and never be noticed, and that’s the most fun of all.
Human [ raven haired beauty;; human Izzy ]
Dark hair and eyes, but forensic studies major at Columbia put ISabelle on a whole other level. She’s sweet and caring, fiercely protective of her brothers and above all else, a fashion guru in her own right.
Jeweler [ it’s a family business;; jeweler Izzy ]
Jewels and metal become so much more with ISabelle Lightwood at the helm. Inheriting the business from her parents, she’s the main face of the company while her siblings work around her [in some threads she will do this alone, however]. She’s got a way with bringing what’s in her head to beautiful life and she isn’t afraid to do it.
When Clary felt hands on her shoulders, her first reaction was to tense until she felt the soothing feeling of a massage. Jace, she thought as she felt her body relax. Tilting her head up, she saw blonde hair and brilliant dual colored eyes that she loved so much. “Hey,” she said with a smile. “I thought that you were training.” He didn’t look like he’d been training. Perhaps he’d just cleaned up really quickly.
She let out a sigh and leaned her head forward and closed her eyes. Now that was the spot. “Right there,” Clary said. “That’s perfect. Who knew you could give such a massage. Is that part of your training?” There was some teasing in her voice, but she was curious. If Jace had learned to do that, maybe she could too so that she could repay the favor.
Jace smiled down at her as she looked up. “Hey,” he said, smiling. “Not so much training as talking to Brother Zacariah.” he replied. “Not letting anyone get wind that I’m recovering from a possession.” he said low enough only she could hear him. “It’s getting a lot better, though, I promise.” Mostly it was thanks to Magnus and a very potent potion that allowed him to sleep decently, although he’d scared his siblings and Clary when he hadn’t woken for four days when he’d first taken it. Feeling her relax, he found his own tension fading. They were fine now, but he still felt bad for what he’d done, for what he’d been forced to do.
He laughed and shook his head. “No, let’s just say Izzy was adamant some learn to give her a massage, and so I learned her pressure points. You’re not much smaller than her, so I figured that just a little adjustment to adapt would work fine. Glad my theory was right.” He kissed her temple gently, eyes closing as his hands continued to knead the tension from her shoulders. “Come on, you need to rest. One of us recovering from sleep deprivation is enough.”
“Lucy, darlin’.” Tristan laughed, gesturing at the campus as they walked through it. “There’s ‘ow many men ‘ere? An’ I’m tryna get in all of their pants. So, yes, I would fuck your dad, an’ yes I ‘ave every intention of fuckin’ my professor, but there’s a whole world of good dick out there. I don’t like to limit myself to just one.” Dark, drawn-on brow raised as he stared down at her. “There’s nothin’ normal about you now, an’ I doubt you were a normal kid, either. A cute kid, though, I can believe.” After closing the car door behind her, Tristan walked over to the driver’s side, slipping into the seat. “As much as I love that car, I thought I’d leave it at home for your sake today. It’s adorable watchin’ you try an’ get in it, but we don’t ‘ave all the time in the world.”
Designer sunglasses were pushed back onto his face and he took a moment to check his appearance in the rearview mirror, smoothing over his hair and re-applying the lipstick he was wearing. “Of course we do. Anythin’ for you, my dear.”
The little blonde almost doubled over in laughter. “Well, one thing is for sure. With a big brother like you, life is never ever boring.” she grinned, covering her mouth with her hand as she laughed again. She rolled her eyes. “And what if I wanted some, huh? Don’t go ruining it for me, now. Leave me a pretty one…or three.” she joked. Rolling hazel eyes, she gave an unbelieving little hum of approval. “Sure you did. You knew the track team is practicing and wanted something to look good in while you watched them run by in their very small shorts and leer.” She was teasing, of course, having sat with Tristan several times to watch them run by and take dibs from time to time. Lucy didn’t much like the jocks, so she didn’t usually pick any. But she knew the type Tris liked, so she usually called dibs on ones she knew he’d protest for.
She smiled at him as he primped himself up again. “What can I say? I’m a princess in my own right.” she teased with a shrug and a laugh.
