kent state student here. this moron is planning an open carry walk on campus on september 29, despite no longer being a student here. the university sent her a cease and desist letter because the event was not promoted by a student organization. now it is being promoted by a student organization: liberty hangout, which was founded by her boyfriend, who I believe still runs it. the university charged liberty hangout $14,300 to be able to do this, and somehow that was no barrier to her. fucking horseshit. fuck this girl, fuck her boyfriend, and fuck kent state for allowing her to do this

About Negative Commenters on fics::
I’d tell them to fuck off and go write their own story and feel free to block you on their way out the door so they don’t accidentally read any of your fics again.
You don’t need readers like that.
Or you know, less aggressively because maybe you aren’t as big of a bitch as I am, you could just delete the comment and move on.
The problem is, there’s always someone out there that has a personal issue with a specific character. When I was writing Pirates Heart I got hate mail because so many anti-Steve people wanted Bucky and Tony to run away together and leave Steve behind. I get nasty comments about writing Tony as the hero of my stories. I get told my AU’s are super out of character and terrible writing.
Someone will always have shit-all to say about anything, and if you take it personal it will ruin your whole writing experience, but I understand how difficult it is to let those things go.
Delete the comment, and if it was via tumblr, block them. You don’t need readers like that and if that’s how they are going to comment, just block them because they will probably do it again. You don’t have to feel bad about basically booting a negative person out the door, I literally do it at least once a day for various reasons ranging from a shitty comment on my writing to them reblogging something ick.
If it was on AO3, turn on “comment moderation” and “disable anonymous comments” function because then not only do you get to approve/reject comments before anyone else sees them, but then only registered AO3 users can comment on your work anyway
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from writing online, its that everyone is super brave about their comments when they can hide behind anonymous and once they can’t hide behind it anymore, they shut the hell up. Turning off your “anon asks” on Tumblr takes care of alot of bullshit too.

someone messaged me this morning after I sent them a message late last night about a plot on their wishlist, saying that we couldn’t play it out because “somebody messaged me about it first”. I find that VERY rude, just because there are SO MANY WAYS you can go about a plot!! It doesn’t matter if you have the same plot with two people or twenty people BECAUSE there are so many angles you can play it at!!

As a Floridian who’s been through this a million times, listen to me. A category 3 hit us before and we were out of power for two weeks and Florida cities are literally BUILT for hurricanes. This is a category 4, almost 5. Houses on the upper east coast aren’t hurricane proofed like they are here.

I have lived through two Cat 5′s and 3 Cat 3′s. When they say get out, the mean GET OUT. Stop being stubborn/stupid/brave whatever you think it is. Leave the damn city. Go inland. Do not stay there. My family has done this only because, the first Cat 5 we lived through, we didn’t have enough warnings and when we finally decided to leave, he couldn’t because the tunnels taking us to the mainland had already been closed. We had to ride it out. Not fun. No electricity for 3 weeks. No clean water for 6 weeks. It was ridiculous. So get the hell out when you’re told to do so. It’s not worth dying to just say you lived through one or got pictures/videos.
