Steve looked over at Peter slowly. “I… I’m not sure,” he answered quietly. “I… I am a bit cold, though… if you have a jacket, that would be nice…” He swallowed hard, shivering a bit but also trying to keep from doing so, not wanting to draw more attention to himself.

Peter tilted his head and moved to take his jacket off, folding it to hand it over the table. “I know you wanted to avoid anything alpha, but it’s the best I have at the moment.” He replied. “Food will be here soon. If you need more, just say so. Okay?”

Stiles nodded slowly. “Yeah… I uh… I think that might make me feel a bit better,” he answered quietly. “Scott’s already half in love with this new kid… has him on the lacrosse team, got him doing afternoon stuff with the rest of the pack. No one’s gonna believe me if I say anything against him, you know?” He pulled back and glanced up at Derek slowly. “You and Peter are the only ones who actually take me seriously anymore.”

Derek nodded, leaning to kiss Stiles’ forehead. “I’ll take you to school in the morning if you want to stay here for the night? I know Peter isn’t back for a few days, but there’s always room in the bed.” he offered, not wanting Stiles to have to go though what he was feeling alone. “While Scott may brush that off as you being our mate, it’s only a part of it. Peter and I listen because your magic is never wrong. Your natural instincts paired with the level of magic that’s been dormant in your family for so long makes what you say relevant. Scott is still new to the world, so he doesn’t understand it like he seems to think he does.” His voice was bitter. Ever since the incident in Mexico, since Derek and Peter had helped Stiles recover from his issues post-nogitsune, Scott had started pulling away, and it pissed him off to see Scott do that to the one person he’d always had. “Just say the word and I’ll kick Scott’s ass for being such a horrible person lately.”

Steve watched him for a moment before he finally gave in and nodded slowly. “I… have some things where I”ve been staying. I’d like to get them before… we got to your place.” He pulled out his wallet to settle his tab so they could go.

Bucky nodded as Steve agreed. “We can swing by and pick your things up. I do have an apartment away from the tower where I usually stay, so we’ll go there until you think you’re ready to try the tower.”

Steve groaned into that kiss, sliding one hand through Loki’s hair as he kissed the other man. When they parted for air, he licked his lips and smiled at Loki. “You have th best ideas,” he answered in a husky voice. “Let’s move this party to the bedroom, shall we?”

If they’d been anywhere close to public eye, Loki would have fussed about his hair, but he adored the feel of Steve’s hands in his hair. He hummed as the blonde pulled away, grinning. “We’ve been quite busy keeping off radar and doing business at the same time, dearest. Would I ever say no sharing your bed again?”

Steve squeezed Bruce’s fingers gently and then stepped further into the room once again, drawing Bruce with him back to the couch so they could sit down and either talk some more or figure out what they wanted to try for tonight. He knew Bruce was worried about more intimate times between them so Steve wanted to do everything he could to put the other at ease.

Bruce smiled into the kiss as Steve squeezed his fingers. They’d been going slow with this, mainly because Bruce wasn’t all that sure he could handle anything fast. But he wanted more than just a goodnight kiss. He moved to lead Steve to the bedroom. “Even if it’s just to hold each other…would you still be okay to spend the night?” he asked, eyes looking at his boyfriend. Honestly, he adored Steve even more for always being so understanding about their situation.

“It’s all right,” Steve answered quietly. “I don’t sleep much without you anyway.” He leaned against Bucky and it was obvious just how exhausted he really was, even if he tried to deny it. “Think you’ll come back to bed again or did you want to just get our day started since we’re both awake now anyway?”

Bucky moved to turn and wrap his arms around Steve. “I’m coming back to bed. I was drinking some chamomile tea.” he explained, kissing his boyfriend’s temple. “Come on, you need sleep, Steve. You’re on the verge of collapse as is.” His Brooklyn came out, knowing Steve really couldn’t resist him when he drawled the right way, tugging Steve closer to him.

Steve laughed softly. “I’m guessing it did. He wasn’t all that thrilled at the way our bonding happened. He didn’t blame you or anything; he was just worried that at some point we’d both have regrets or something. I’m glad he didn’t give you too much trouble over proposing to me.”

Tony nodded. “I’m well aware. But he knows as an alpha, we just know when we find our mate.” He moved to kiss Steve gently. “I know I didn’t know how to go about courting, but I’m glad I learned how. I’m glad I didn’t totally scare you away after that one incident.” He reached up to run his hand through blonde hair. “But I swear I will never regret being bonded with you.”
