O.M.G.

Thirteen hours of work and I am home. I hurt all over and I’m gonna shower and eat and then try to do drafts. Tomorrow is laundry day [and I need to see about food for the next few days too] so I will be iffy on and off while I take care of that. The silver lining to this mch pain is that I have like 8 hours of OT plus a day of holiday pay in one check.

I need to lay down, my legs are starting to hurt x.x I mostly did asks for now, I’m hoping I can get up a little early to do some more replies, but we’ll see. Going mobile until I ptfo.

12 hour day tomorrow, here we come! XD

I love that you have a lot of history on lock. Did you like history class or was it from having to create your vast variety of stories?

not-close-to-straight:

Oh I loved history class. I was lucky enough to have two overly qualified teachers for history, one in seventh grade, and then another for 11/12 grade history classes.

The seventh grade one made a point of basically being like “LOOK AT THIS STUPID THING THIS PERSON DID. HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF. DO NOT BE THE MORON THAT REPEATS HISTORY.” Which was hilariously effective for a bunch of thirteen year kids.

My 11/12 teacher literally had two master degrees and a doctorate and was working on a second doctorate and for whatever reason, decided that teach history to a bunch of teenagers at a tiny school in Alaska was what he was supposed to do?

He changed my life.

Not only was he ridiculously smart and knew EVERYTHING I could ever want to know? He was also that weird sort of ageless so when he talked about the Civil War we all looked at each other like “yeah, he was definitely there for that. Definitely.”

This actually happened in class one day, I swear to god.

We were talking about the JFK assassination, and he knew all this weird stuff about it that wasn’t in our history book or online or like… anything! So my smart ass (and super hot) friend sort of scoffed about the whole “second shooter/gunman on the grassy knoll” thing?

And my teacher deadass walked over to his Always Locked and Therefore Mega Mysterious closet, pulled out this tiny key from a necklace under his shirt to open the lock, rummaged around and came back out with this old shovel with a flour sack cloth around the metal part?

He pulls off the sack, tosses the shovel at my friend. Dirt rains off the shovel and then we are all staring at dark reddish brown stains on the top of the shovel and my teacher goes “well if there wasn’t a second shooter who the hell did I bury?”

And we all just….

He was incredible.

Fully credit him for making me love history.

This replybis beautiful start to finish, Kara 💜

That dress is beautiful! I did most of my shopping Wednesday cuz I worked Thursday-Monday and the hours are not shopping friendly. X.x

not-close-to-straight:

I LOVE IT

Also,’I feel ya, I always worked weekends and never got to shop either but hey, that’s what online shopping is for right??

Right? Online shopping has saved me this year for so many people that are hard to shop for in a small town. And in a couple of weeks, I can finish the shopping and then all I need to do is wrap it all. X.x that doesn’t count the cards I send out (I’ll need your address so I can send you one, too 💙💙)

I am down to 67 drafts and 18 asks. I feel mostly accomplished. Please keep in mind that most everything is being queued except for a few random ones I post [usually from different people so they know I am still doing drafts for them lol]. Time to get ready for work, and I will be iffy on and off until tonight when I get home and do stuff for a little bit.
