The offer was unconventional, which was probably why she liked it so much. “Alright, but I’m just sayin’, I’m gonna kick your ass at Street Fighter II. Loser buys dinner?”
Stiles managed to give her a smile, arching a brow at her. “No way, I spent countless hours and sleepless nights mastering every Street Fighter.” he countered, grinning. “We’re college kids, though, so I can’t go all fancy just yet.” he laughed a little.
Stiles groaned as he rolled on the ground, the impact of his defensive magic and the attack literally knocking the breath out of him. “D-De-Derek,” he wheezed, eyes closed as he tried to form words through the pain echoing through his body.
“Honestly, I just need a friend or two around here.” Stiles shrugged. “You can join me if you’d like.”
“That makes two of us.” Eloise grinned, shrugging as well. “Sure, why not? What’d you have in mind?”
Stiles looked down, kind of clueless. The whole college things was fine, but most of the people he associated with had big parties and Stiles had kind of sworn off parties after the incident where his friend had been ritually sacrificed. “Maybe we could go the arcade or something?”
