Xavier rolled his eyes as the door to his magic shop opened. “And what did I do to require a visit from you?” he asked, unamused at the other’s presence.
Wanda sat quietly, listening to music at a low level as she waved a hand, her powers rotating some of her thing above her. Hearing a knock on her door, the little witch sat up, waving her hand to put everything in place again. Come in.” she said calmly.
It had been a long night, nightmares abound, and finally Steve had given up trying to sleep. So he’d gone downstairs in the compound, working on taping his hands just right. He didn’t want to wake anyone up; they’d all been through enough – all of them had lost enough. It tore Steve apart inside in ways he didn’t want to talk about, compartmentalizing it and working his way through it. At least that’s what he told himself as he stanced and began taking swings at the bag, guilt and grief washing over him and making him punch harder as he stood there.
“Seriously, why is it whenever I leave, things go to shit around here?” Peter asked as he started cleaning up the kitchen. “My pack can be so lazy sometimes.” he sighed, shaking his head.
Tara looked around as he listened to the person on the other end of the phone. “That would be great if that’s where I was right now.” he replied.
“What brings you wandering here?” Terra asked as she peered from behind a tree. “No one comes this far these days.”
Thor sat, staring out at nothing in particular as the sun faded around him. He was thinking of his brother, of the words he’d spoken, and he gave a sigh as he heard someone approaching. He turned his head slowly, looking towards the source. “The sun is lying low, friend. What may I do for you?”
