Wanda

“We all need a lot more than a moment.” She agreed quietly, looking down over the edge of the roof as she wrapped her blanket tighter around her. “I… I’m not sure. Some days I feel as if I control it, but many more I feel it controlling me. I know it is a gift, but…” Wanda trailed off and shook her head, instinctively tucking her hands away under the blanket.

Thor looked at the girl and frowned. “I once thought little of magic, of learning it.” he replied. “I wish I had done so now. Perhaps if I had, the current situation would be much different.” he looked down, sighing. HE reached to lay a hand on her shoulder. “Remember that you are still you, just more powerful, and that power is not something to be scared of. Embrace it.” he tried to assure her.

Wanda walked quietly over the roof of the complex, cool fall air kept off her by a dark red blanket she’d draped around her shoulders. It wasn’t often she’d find someone else here, in the spot she usually found herself when she wanted to think for a while. The edge of the complex’s roof, easily accessible through a staircase or, she supposed, easier still if you could fly. She smiled faintly at the Asgardian, shrugging a little. “Just came out here to get some fresh air and think a little. I didn’t expect to find you here, though.” Her bare feet made next to no noise as she moved to sit a few feet away, giving Thor more than enough space in case he happened to want it.

Thor gave a quite smile, nodding. “I needed a moment to think.” he mused. “I suppose a moment turned into much longer.” he chuckled. “How are you handling your magic, little one?” he asked, looking at her. “I know you haven’t had it long, and that I was gone for some time. Magic is common enough on Asgard that even if I don’t possess it, I can try to help understand it?”
