Steve sighed softly and got up, taking Clint’s hand and stepping out of the cell with him before slowly shaking his head. “No, please don’t,” he said softly. “I don’t want to have to see him again and I don’t want to have to come back to this place ever again. They don’t like omegas. They aren’t nice. Just, please… I want to just go home and forget about all of this. Please?”
Clint moved to pull his omega close, kissing his head. “Alright. Come on, let’s get you home.” he said, pulling Steve close and hating that they had to pass the cell for the alphas. But he made sure he was closest to the bars, arm protective around Steve’s lower back as they walked by. HE paused as an alpha whistled and asked Steve where he was going. “I’m taking my mate home.” he said, turning and flashing red eyes at the other alpha. “And if I find out you came near him again, you’ll have much worse than a night in jail to worry about.” he said, the threat clear and the look on his face was enough to make the caged man take a step back. He turned back to Steve and kissed his temple, leading him the rest of the way out and to their car. “If that idiot hadn’t been in the cell, I might have killed him. Coulson would have just loved tha amount of paperwork.” The last sentence was pure sarcasm as he opened the car door for Steve. “Do you want to get anything to eat on the way home?”
