Juniper couldn’t quite grasp the entire concept that Tony has conceived. That’s why he is the mastermind and she was just someone in the foreground. Truthfully, she lived a simple life. Her adoptive father worked in an office, and her adoptive mother stayed home with them. Creativity and innovation wasn’t part of the norm. “Why do you need that? Isn’t what you have now state of the art?” She questioned, rather intrigued by Tony’s need for the best.

Tony shrugged. “I design the best. And when I find a small thing to fix, I fix it right away. Keeps everyone safer and makes it easier to go into a fight if I know everything is as good as it can be.” he explained. “I’m a bit of a perfectionsit, as I’m sure you’ve noticed by now.”

Juniper scrunches her nose as she hears Tony approaching. So much for going undetected. She retracts her hand dejectedly, turning to face him. She often found herself up at ungodly hours of the night, so wandering around the tower has become a normal part of her routine.

“Couldn’t sleep. I guess I just lost my way.” She shrugs, approaching the messy desk tony was seated at.

She notes the sea of papers scattered about, most of them with different designs and numbers Juniper could never understand. It was still interesting though, to see what kind of things Tony works on when everyone else is asleep. The famous Mr. Stark and his band of robots. Her fingers reach out to grab one of the papers, curious about the information on it. “Whatcha working on?”

“Being down here isn’t a crime. I just get a little protective of my work before it’s complete.” Tony explained, sipping his coffee. He watched her come over, leaning back as she looked at the papers. “Right at this moment? New tech for the coms.” He swiped his hand over the sleeping screen and the hologram of his current work in progress appeared. Working on making some changes to make them better.”

Is it possible to acclimate to a new setting when it’s the polar opposite of what you came from? Juniper struggles to figure that out. The avenger’s tower seems like a castle compared to her house back in Maine. Every day she discovers a new nook and cranny to explore. Today, she found herself in the wrong nook to discover.

As she tiptoes down the stairs, she finds a whole new room that seems like a mechanical museum. Robots, cars, weapons, you name it, it was there. Breathlessly, she looks around to see if anyone was there. Thinking she is in the clear, she walks over to a prototype Mr. Stark has been working on.

“He really out-did himself with this one.” she whispers, reaching out to touch the shiny half done suit.

Tony had been going to get coffee in the side office. As he walked out, fresh cup in hand, he stopped and watched her for a moment. “It’s not done yet, either.” He said a little harshly. “Please don’t touch.” He walked over, reaching to guide her away from the suit. “JARVIS hasn’t finished the paint yet and there’s some minor stuff to work on. I don’t like when people mess with unfinished work.” He explained. “What beings you down here so early?” He asked, going to sit at the ckuttered but somehow still organized desk and sitting in his chair.
