Elliot nodded. “It’s time to ditch the trail and vanish. Are you ready for London? We can leave in the morning and be there by tomorrow night.” He promised, moving to just pick Seth up. “Just hold onto me. The sooner we’re away, the sooner I can take care of you.”

“Hey, I said I can walk.” Seth huffed but wrapped his arms around Elliot’s neck. “I love you, Ell.”

Elliot smiled and kissed him. “You can’t run like this.” He assured, adjusting Seth before running full sprint to their hotel room, moving to lay Seth in the bed. “Let me see.”

The scent of Seth’s blood made him growl and he grabbed the other by the throat, claws digging into the intruder’s neck. “See, it you wouldn’t have done that, we would have let you live.” he said dangerously, a smirk on his lips. “But since you were foolish enough to hurt my mate, not much reason to keep you alive now.” HE tossed his blade in favor of digging his claws through flesh and ripping it away, blood gushing through his fingers as he left the man to fall, rushing to Seth’s side and reaching up to place his clean hand on Seth’s cheek. “I’ve got you, baby. Can you walk?”

“I-I’m fine. We need to leave here though. Need to go further away or something. We’re not going to be too safe here.” He replied, leaning into Elliot’s touch. “I might need a bit of help with walking, but I should be alright. I promise.”

At this point, Seth wasn’t even scared. At least not for himself. It wasn’t until he felt a blade against his own skin that his eyes widened for a second. “I – I thought you said you couldn’t harm me.” He breathed out.   “I’m going to die either way, it seems.” The other remarked, smirking as he cut through Seth’s side. Seth winched slightly, a gasp falling from his lips as he was pushed forward, hands going to his side. “Elliot.” Seth breathed out. “Elliot.” Seth knew the other would be taken care of rather quickly, and he wasn’t sure why he was panicking as bad as he was.

“Three of us and only one of you. You really think you could get all three of us if we touch him? Besides, we won’t hurt him. He’s too useful for that.” One of them stated, arms going around Seth’s waist with a smirk on his lips knowing Elliot couldn’t shoot him without hurting Seth. “I’d love to use him in ways you could never imagine.” His smirk widened, licking his lips. “Too bad I’m not able to do that right now.” He moved to press a kiss against Seth’s cheek. “But once we’re back, I might just be the one to break him for leaving.”

Elliot felt a surge of confidence when the one speaking didn’t realize who he was. Which meant they were only there for Seth, and likely very low level among the family he and Seth had fled. The family still believed he was dead. His lips curved and he gave a smirk. He growled as the one talking kissed Seth, giving a light chuckle. “You know, for a second I thought they’d sent someone smart. Someone who knew what to expect. It would have made this at least a little more fun.” he said, taking another step forward. “But you’re just a group of low level junkies looking to impress big boss with bringing back one person.” He let his eyes flicker beneath the dim lights so Seth could see them – just a trick of the light to the three attackers – and moved to strike, two shots into one as he vanished and snapped the neck of the other before appearing behind the one holding Seth, blade pressed hard against his back. “See, taking back both of us would have been better for you. But now you have one chance to rethink your choice or I’ll cut you down like the scum you are and I won’t even blink.” he said in a dangerous tone. “Let. Him. Go. Now.”

They’d been fine for so long and of course the minute Seth let himself feel safe… it was no longer. “I…” Seth shook his head, tears running down his cheeks. “I can’t risk you losing your life, Ell.” Seth whimpered before turning his head. “I-I’ll go back with you. On the condition that you let Elliot live.” He hated how easily he let himself be persuaded to go back – but when it came down to the man he loved being murdered if he didn’t? He just hoped Elliot wouldn’t hate him for his decision.

Elliot outright growled again. “I’ve been through worse.” he countered, still even as he stared down the gun. As Seth turned away from him, he felt his heart break. Damn it, he should have been more careful. They needed a place away from the city, since he was certain that too many public eyes had led to them being found. As Seth moved closer, he didn’t think, drawing the gun from the hidden holster at his back, aiming the gun at one of the three. “You touch him and I’ll kill all of you slow and painfully.”
