Celine smirked and ran a hand through his hair. “That is quite possibly the second best idea you’ve had.” She chuckled and rolled over so that she was straddling him. “I’m always down for pizza and this.”

Magic calls to magic, his mother had once said. Loki had never understood what she meant back then, had once spent hours and days trying to find an explanation, but centuries later and he had a feeling that now he was starting to. He laughed as she moved to straddle him, pale fingers reaching to brush through dark waves. “Really now?” He mused, grinning and leaning to press a kiss to her collarbone. “Perhaps we should make this happen more often, then.”

“You think so?” she looked to him, partly unsure if this was just an attempt to give her an answer, the other part hopeful that he was right. “I’ve never liked storms very much.”

Juniper shrugs looking back out the window. The sea was washing over, the tides rolling in. Clearly Loki had picked up on her demeanor, noticed how she felt out of place. She couldn’t make up her mind, rather she was beside herself. The only thing grounding her was Loki’s presence. “Promise me you will keep me safe from the storm?”

Loki nodded, moving to sit beside her. “I’ve loved storms since I was very young. I can sense the storm brewing as well.” He explained, leaning to kiss her temple. Thor had kept her safe while he had healed and being brought back had immediately brought him to her side. “Of course I will, My Queen.” He promised, moving to pull her into his lap to hold her. “You are forever safe with me.”

Juniper leans into his touch as his hand threads itself through her icy blonde hair. “It’s much more enticing to be at the will of another as powerful as yourself.” Loki sure did have a way with words. His silver tongue has a tendency to entice others, wrapping them right around his finger, but she didn’t mind.

“You give me too much credit.” She hums, then feeling her head draw back from him tugging her hair slightly. Her gaze forced to meet his. She admires the glint in his eyes, feeling completely possessed, and loving every minute of it.

Loki hummed when she moved as he urged, knowing she was powerful enough to feel as he felt. “Oh, my little magician.” he purred, leaning to tug at her shirt slowly. “You have a great deal of power you don’t know about. Empathy can grow and be taught to do many things. But perhaps a lesson on magic later.” he mused, taking a step back to guide her closer to the bed. “But I will not take anything without your permission, my dearest.”

Thor kissed him softly. “There are children who need homes, Loki,” he answered gently. “If we can not have our own, we will find children who need us and bring them home to raise them as ours. We have more than enough to give to any children we wish to raise.”

Loki relaxed into Thor, green eyes closing as he let himself soak up Thor’s warmth. “I love you,” he breathed quietly, reaching to run slender fingers through blonde hair. “My King and soulmate.” His worries were eased knowing that children weren’t necessary for him to keep Thor’s love. “When are we required home?”

Steve watched the man before him walk into the room. He sat up a bit and scooted back against the headboard of the bed. “Steven Rogers, Captain, US Army,” he answered quietly. “Where is Asgard? And… what is Midgard? I’m assuming you mean in the Arctic Circle since that’s where I aimed the plane I was flying at the time. What year is it? Do you know how much time has passed… how long I was… down there?”

Loki watched him curiously. “My aologies, Captain, but I am not aware of how much time you were trapped beneath the surface.” he replied, tilting his head the opposite way. “Midgard is your world. I believe your people call it Earth?” He moved to sit on the edge of the bed. “Time is much more fluid than most believe, but I can find out what time it is on Midgard. My conern is certainly your health, though. To have survived the frozen block is unusual for a mortal.”

“You know, you’ve got an attitude, an’ I like that.” Head cocked to one side, cigarette flicked to the floor. “The real question is, can you handle me?”

Loki had long learned how to alter the glamour of his adoptive father. He grinned, letting his eyes swirl.into a crimson color as he watched the other. “Oh, darling, you don’t know what it is you tempt. I can very well handle you.” He promised, leaning closer into Tristan’s space. “Should we go?”

A Different Line in Time || lostshieldandhammer

It was noticeably colder in this area of Midgard. It was so much colder that Loki was concerned as to why his exploration of various life would bring him to a place no human could survive. He carefully wandered for a while, his natural ability to handle Asgardian winters coming in handy as he walked, needing a minor spell to keep his hands warm. There were perks to being an adopted son. It seemed odd that just as he was ready to give up, he discovered some kind of wreckage. Green eyes curious, the god approached and startled for a brief flash when he sensed life.

More intrigued than ever, he moved to find the source, hid magic strangely stirred as he sought out one who could survive this kind of weather without magic. Finding his way beneath the surface, he found a hollowed ship, one end filled with thick ice. A downed ship wasn’t uncommon on Asgard, but the feeling that he was so much closer to life now than before brought him closer to the frozen block, green flames appearing around his jand to help him see. A quiet, sharp intake of breath as he realized that the life he sensed was laying underneath the ice and Loki moved to melt the ice away and retrieve the one trapped inside. It took much longer than he intended, but at last, he drew the young man out, brushing his hands over the body to check for any danger, finding it odd that there were none. The man was beautiful in a way Loki hadn’t seen in centuries, and he clearly needed help.

In a split second decision, Loki decided to bring the stranger with him back to his chamber in Asgard. He lifted the other and with his magic, called a way home. As he stepped into the room and Heimdall gave a single nod, Loki teleported himself and the unconscious man to his hall in the palace, laying the man on his daybed where he read, hoping some of the warmth from the sun would break the chill that had settled into the stranger’s body from the ice. He summoned a large, plush blanket to cover the blonde, setting the odd shaped shield nearby and summoning tea. He sipped at the tea as he waited, drawn to the other and curious as to his survival in a place no nan could live.

When Steve began to wake, he was shivering almost violently, as his body fought to rid itself of the water and ice in and around his body. Eventually, the shivering slowed and the blankets around him helped him become warm. He fell into a deeper sleep then and slept for several more hours before slowly waking, eyes opening, as he took in the room around him. He coughed, his voice hoarse and sore as he did so, trying to sit up.

“H-Hello? Where am I?”

Loki did his best to keep the young man warm, blankets and a couple of spells to help ease any discomfort. He had laid in his own bed aceoss the room, napping quietly when the sound of a voice stirred him. He opened his eyes, moving to stand and light one of the lamps for more light as the sun was still down but would rise soon. “You’re on Asgard,” he answered calmly. “I found you in a thick block of ice on Midgard, and brought you home with me.” He explained. “I am Loki. May I inquire your name?”

“How are you feeling, little magician?” Loki asked, tilting his head. “You look as if you do not feel well.”

Juniper peered out the window, debating how she should approach how she felt. For the past few days, she has felt on edge, for no apparent reason. She didn’t feel in danger, she wasn’t homesick. She just felt – off.

His gaze was focused on her, and unrelenting. She didn’t know how to articulate her exact feelings, but she didn’t want to give him no answer. So instead she sighed.

“I don’t really know Loki. I just feel…. who knows.” she shrugs, watching the rain drops race against the glass of the window.

Slender fingers moved to brush through blonde waves. He hummed. “You must be sensing the pre-storm.” he mused. “It happens for a few days before a very big storm hits. The atmosphere changes and very few can feel it. Your empathy must give you a kind of antenna.” Loki explained, moving to sit across from her.

“Can’t be both?” Bucky drawled, watching Loki with a chuckle. “Any room for me over there?”

Loki gave a little smile, opening his arms. “There’s always room for my beautiful warrior.” he mused. He avoided using the word soldier when he referred to Bucky, knowing it was related to a dark time in his boyfriend’s long life. “As much as I’m glad your dog enjoys my company, I don’t come over to see him.” he promised.
