Lydia was in line to take over an Institute; be the first Branwell in many years to be Head of an Institute. But that all changed when her fiance died and she was forced to accept her fate. After the failed wedding, Lydia took a place as a soldier, and once healed, she made the choice on her own to return to New York, finally feeling like she had friends she could be proud of.

Lydia lives a comfortable life with her husband until a tragic accident took her husband and she was left alone with a young son and a life built around her late husband’s law firm. Stepping up, she’s taken a job at the Morgenstern’s tech company to help take care of herself and her son.

Lydia Branwell is one one of the most prominent prosecutors in New York. She provides her evidence and has a success rate higher than most anyone the DA’s office. But she’s also aware that her hard work has put her on a pedestal that she can’t really get down from.

Lydia hasn’t seen much battlefield action since her injury from Valentine’s demon attack and to pass the time, she’s been tutoring young nephilim in Idris. Pushing to be released back to New York, she’s agreed not to be a field member and simply help teach the younger nephilim in the Institute.
