“I’ll try.” Seth murmured, whimpering softly. “I… I don’t know. I mean we should talk about it but…” He still wasn’t sure if he really wanted that. Not yet. “I’m really tired and everything hurts.” Seth stopped talking for a few minutes, keeping his eyes closed tightly. “Peter, I really want to sleep.”

There was a shuffling as Peter heard his team lift Seth, and when he heard one of them say they had him, Peter relaxed just barely. “Get him to Terra. She can start healing him up. I’ll be there with Malia in an hour.” he ordered, knowing the others could hear before his attention turned to Seth’s voice. “Baby boy, stay awake a little longer, okay? Terra is going to take care of you until I’m there and then I won’t leave your side until you’re better. I swear, okay? Then you can say those words. Don’t go to sleep yet.”

Malia reached to take the phone when her father’s grip got too tight and she heard the almost inaudible sound of the phone starting to crack. “Seth, it’s MAlia.” she said, runnign fingers through her father’s hair. “I have to help dad get packed, so I’m putting headphones in so we can get ready to leave, okay?” She looked at the screen tracking the phones and smiled, helping her father from his chair and towards his room. “Terra is just around the corner. You’ll be able to rest soon. What kind of wound is it, can you tell me?”

“I’ll… consider it,” he answered quietly. “If I choose to stay.” He held his bag in his arms as he settled into the passenger’s seat, careful not to actually touch Peter as he moved. He was touch starved as it was… an alpha’s touch might send him into heat sooner or make him change his mind about wanting to stay.

Peter did what he could to keep Steve comfortable, starting to car and putting it in drive to head home. “It’s about a three hour drive. Would you like to get anything?” he asked, blue eyes looking at Steve.

“Peter.” Seth whimpered, closing his eyes tightly. “Fine.” He sighed and told the other male where he was. “Please just… I need you here. I’ve got – got my other hand on my waist and can I just say I’m beyond glad there aren’t vampires because that’s a can of worms I don’t want to open.” He chuckled, whimpering again because of it.

Peter knew his wolf was close to the surface as he sent an emergency alert to the closest team he had near Seth – wolves the lot of them that oculd be there in just a minute or two – and hoping they could get him to the doctor in time. “Just hang on for me, Seth. I’ve got a team headed out.” he promised. “They’ll get you to safety and get you patched up until I get there.” His voice was sort of a growl, wanting to break something. As Malia walked in, hearing her father’s voice, he held up his hand. “No, vampires are long gone, dearest.” he replied, unable to see the panic that flashed through Malia’s eyes, blue glowing as she watched him. “But when I get there, we need to seriously talk about giving you the Bite.” he said shakily, tensing as Malia touched his hand on the laptop. “They should be getting to you in a moment, okay? Stay awake while they carry you. Talk to me.”

Being asked to perform at some guys birthday party wasn’t exactly on Seth’s plans for a Saturday night, but the guys that asked him threw in the words three thousand dollars and Seth wanted to jump at the chance but kept himself calm. Three thousand was a lot and truthfully, he would have done it for less than two hundred – but who was he to deny that kind of money if they actually had it. He’d seen enough episodes of Criminal Minds and other crime shows to know that each time could be his last. That there would be a night where he didn’t get the cash and get to go home to his cat.

But when this kind of money came up – which was never – yeah, he didn’t care. He agreed to it. Which left him now standing on the porch at ten o’clock at night, chewing on his bottom lip and
wringing

his hands convincing himself he really needed to knock on the door.  He was told it was a party, but he couldn’t hear any music and usually he’d expect people to be lingering outside as well. God, he was going to be murdered, wasn’t he? Finally he knocked on the door and took a small step back.

Peter had been visiting the club where Seth danced for a while, he was regular and while he had never shown favoritism to any one dancer, he did enjoy watching Seth. So when he’d gotten the chance to offer a private dance, he did so. His party had was in full swing in the backyard of the manor when Seth arrived, and he barely managed to hear the door knocker. He maneuvered through the friends he’d invited and opened the door. “I was wondering if you’d show up.” he teased. “The party is in the backyard, if you want to linger before you perform?” he asked, opening the door. “The karaoke is almost done.”

Steve slowly looked through the bag, pulling a few things out to inspect them before putting them back in and nodding slowly. “That’s all mine,” he said quietly. “I don’t see anything that’s missing. And a doctor won’t be able to do much, honestly. I was never allowed suppressants and the one time I had them, they made me so sick, I wanted to die. I’m a week out from my scheduled heat so there’s not much to be done about that.”

Peter nodded as he listened, watching Steve check through everything. “If you want, I can offer a way to keep the others away during your heat?” he asked. “There’s a few rooms uptairs in the manor where the unbonded omegas we take in can stay during their heats if they choose.” he explained. “The betas help keep them clean since the scent can cause the alphas to go into rut, so they would check in on you, but no alphas would try to force themselves on you.” he walked over to open the passenger door for Steve.

“N-No.” Seth shook his head slightly, not even caring that Peter couldn’t see him. “No, you don’t have to send anyone. None of you would get here in time anyway.” Seth whispered, even though he knew that Peter could hear him as if he hadn’t. “Can you just… stay on the phone… with me? Talk to me, please? I- I like hearing your voice.”

Peter froze and set the pen down. “Seth, what happened?” He asked, worry clear in his voice. “I have contacts there who can get to you. Just tell me where you are.”

“I um… no, it’s okay. The only one I want here is you and it’ll be too late for that. I love you, you know.” Seth whispered. “Promise me something?”

“I can be there if you let me send someone.” Peter countered. “You have to hang on for me. Tell me that in person, okay?” He asked in a demanding voice, opening the system to track Seth’s phone. “I’ll promise you anything if you promise to tell me where you are so we can get to you.”

Derek nodded, framing Peter’s face and kissing him softly, hearing the water stop in the bathroom. “He’s done. I’m going to check on him. You get changed, hm?” He stepped back and walked over to the bathroom, gently knocking on the door before stepping inside as Stiles was drying off. The younger man looked up at Derek as he dried off and then pulled on the pants and t-shirt before walking over and just leaning in against Derek’s chest, arms loose around his mate.

Peter nodded and watched Derek go, changing and moving to add a few more pillows and moved to put on some quiet music. Once he was certain everything was ready, he moved to check on his mates, sliding an arm around Derek to rest on Stiles’ side. “Felling any better, my love?” he asked quietly, resting his chin on Derek’s shoulder as they held Stiles.
